Meet Our Staff

 

  Andy Blake,  Executive Director  Andy spent 15 years working in the construction industry in both management and sales before relocating his family to serve as cross-cultural church planters in the metro New York City area. Andy served as Jobs Coach at WorkFaith beginning in October 2017 before transitioning to Executive Director on September 1, 2018. Andy and his wife Lisa are blessed with 4 children.

  Deborah Smith,  Instructor  Deborah was a foot soldier in the Civil Rights Movement and has over 40 years of experience teaching in public education in Birmingham. She came out of retirement to serve with WorkFaith and is a huge asset to our team.

  Tamika Holmes,  Instructor  Tamika has started two companies and her own non-profit. She teaches our workshops at The Lovelady Center, and is a vital member of the team. Tamika was the Birmingham Business Alliance Young Professional of the year in 2016. She is currently studying biblical counseling at Birmingham Theological Seminary, and she attends Woodlawn United Methodist Church.

  Kristi Kirkland,  Office Administrator  Kristi has a background in communications and over six years of experience in non-profit work. She recently spent two years teaching English in North Africa. Kristi loves using her administrative and communications background to serve the Lord at WorkFaith. She is an active member at The Church at Brook Hills.

  Maggie Thomas,  Director of Client Resources  Maggie is a licensed social worker, and worked with Lifeline Children’s Services for over three years. She walked families through the China adoption process while equipping families to care for internationally adopted children. Maggie and her husband love the city and the people of Birmingham and are members of New Rising Star Missionary Baptist Church.
